What is GammonVillage.com?
GammonVillage.com is the world’s largest online magazine and community website dedicated to the game of Backgammon. GammonVillage has two main components, an online magazine with news and info related to backgammon, and our online store with four boutiques: backgammon, chess, poker, and other games. GV has some 40 sections covering virtually every topic of the game. In addition, our readers add new content every day through the various interactive features such as discussion forums and the ability to submit articles of their own. What does it cost?
It is FREE to play online and to shop online. You only need a subscription if you want access to our magazine. GammonVillage was a free magazine for more than two years from 1999 to 2001. However, we are now asking our readers to support us so that we can continue our mission to deliver the highest quality product combined with the best in technology and innovation. We offer a Gold or Diamond membership level for magazine subscribers. You can view a description of our various features on our Subscription Details page.

How do I become a member?
To register as a member of our site, please go to our "Registration" page and be sure to fill in or check off all the required fields. After registering as a member you will receive a confirmation within minutes. If you encounter any problems or have any questions, please contact GV Support.
Are my personal details safe?
The personal details that you give us are for our use only. Your personal information and email address will not be shared or sold to any other company.
How do I update my email address or change my personal information?
To change any of your personal details, upload a photo of yourself or change your email address, go to the "Registration" tab of the menu bar and click on "Update Personal Profile" from the drop down selections.
I forgot my password?
If you have forgotten your password you can retrieve it by clicking on the "Retrieve Password" button right next to the Log In box on the top right hand side of our homepage. On the page that opens, enter your email address in the blank space, click "Retrieve" and your password will be sent to you automatically.
How do I surf the site?
To surf to any of the sections on our site, use the menu bar at the very top of the page. Click on a section and a number of dropdown items will appear. Then just click on the one you would like to go to.
Where can I play Backgammon here?
To play Backgammon online, simply look for the red dice at the top or side of any of our pages - click on the "Play Now" button. This will take you to our download page where you can download software and in just moments, you'll be playing with thousands of players from all over the world.
Where are the Rules of Backgammon?
Go to our "Rules of Backgammon" section where you can read an excellent version we have reproduced from the famous book “Backgammon”, written by Paul Magriel. The rules are accompanied by animated boards created by Dean Kezan.
Where can I read older articles?
All the articles that we have published since GV was launched in December 1999 are still available to read on this site. They are archived in their respective sections. Use the menu bar to choose a topic and click on an item from the drop down menu. All the articles under that topic will be displayed in chronological order. Click on a headline to read an article.
How can I submit an article?
Articles can be submitted in several sections depending on the topic you wish to write about. You will see a "Submit" button in our News, Articles or Interviews sections found under the "News And Info" tab of the menu bar as well as in the various sections listed in the "Tutorials" under the "School" tab. You can also email your article directly to us.
