"I'll be back!" Not, it isn't Arnie, it's John Clark. These were his parting words after winning the October Sandy Osborne Trophy but failing to take home the Prize Fund. And, true to his word, he was back... and with a vengeance!
Not only did he return but he also left with the Prize Fund after beating Stuart Mann in the 6th Round. The Final went to DMP but it was John who walked away with the money, the trophy, the wine and the smile.
It was a close game. Stuart took an early lead and by Game 5 was ahead 4-0. This is when John woke up! He took the next three points to be just 1 point behind. Stuart pulled away to 5-3 and then John scored a gammoned 2-cube to lead for the first time 7-5. Stuart didn't win anything more until the Crawford. He was 10-5 down when he played a great game winning a gammon; and the score moved to 10-6 post-Crawford.
