It's been over a month since you last played at the mansion of the formerly wealthy, but now almost certainly disinherited, Cornelius V.D.B. Magnuson. After the frightening experience of playing at the good player's apartment, you're wondering if perhaps you should play only online for awhile, even though it's not quite the real thing-sort of the backgammon world's equivalent of methadone maintenance. So you are surprised and extremely pleased to return from work one cold winter evening and find a familiar-looking formal invitation in your mailbox.
