When redoubled for the match, you need to know the match
equity table. Most 15-point matches do not end on a 16-cube,
but when you face one it is important to get it right.
On the other hand, memorizing a table of hundreds of
entries is boring, and backgammon should be fun. A
possible solution is to remember shortcuts for producing
the match equity table that you can use over the board,
with no notes or written calculations
