Everyone knows that if you want to be a great backgammon player, all you have to do is learn what Snowie and GNUBG would do and you'll be one of the best players in the world. It's that simple. But that could take years, and a lot of work, and even then, unless you have excellent gaming skills and a fantastic memory, you might never amount to more than an average player.
What the experts don't tell you, or are afraid to tell you, is that there is another path to greatness.
