In a new series within "Advanced Angles" I will highlight backgammon competition against a different World Champion in the series "Backgammon Against a World Champion".

This month, we will take a look at the player who 20 years ago this coming summer, won the World Championship in Monte Carlo.

I remember it quite well as it was my first time there, and when Joe asked me if I wanted to trade 10% after we had both won 2 matches, I declined when he informed me his opponent would be Billy Horan and my opponent was an unknown.
