Last time we covered the dynamics of three away two away from the trailer's standpoint, otherwise known as -3 -2. This time we'll be launching into the same score from the leader's point of view which will be referred to from here on out as -2 -3.
There are a lot of people who play backgammon even at the tournament level without a fundamental understanding that is necessary to make them a feared player.

Great Articile - you talk about the changes to racing cubes AtS is it possible to come up with revised parameters for Doubling and Taking using the Keith Count AtS? And other match scores where generally strategy alters?
Very clear...this is the kind of article I save, read again from time to time, and pass on to my own students.
Like Grant, I am also interested in learning how to adjust Trice and Keith counts for racing to apply them to match scores. I have no problem calculating the take points for money, over the board (primarily using Trice), but then to know how many pip adjustment to make for each different match score becomes more of a matter of guesswork and estimation and "feel" as opposed to science.
Is there some formula or general principle I can apply that for each point the take point is more or less than 25% I can add or subtract a certain number of pips or certain percentage of pips?
