Even though I have had my new computer for several months I haven't caught up with my filing. Arrangements that made sense in 2006 (when I bought my previous PC), or in 2003 when Perry Gartner gifted me with my first laptop, and shipped me off to China, or even ... Frankly, I have lost track of when I began sorting and categorizing some of the files that have followed me around the world. And it is painfully obvious I lost track of sorting and categorizing many of them at all. I have a "working folder" with thousands of files that were simply dumped there just in case I needed them.

Excellent quiz...very tough! Do none of the problems have second-best plays that merit partial credit?
Hi Timothy:
The smallest error for the second place play in any of the problems was 3.6%. The worst was nearly ten times that. I picked these because there were no really close second choices.
Best,
Jake
Excellent quiz, and I did well, but I have to admit that I think there definitely is a Quiz Factor here. Particularly No. 8 is something I think many players will get in a quiz but making that play over the board requires the use of body parts you don't need in a quiz.
Leverman got it right over the board when it came up in our match. It's a shame he (and Dirk) are no longer active.
Hi Jake,
We had some great fun and big discussions on the beach in Phuket .Always fun reading your stuff and the weather is brilliant over here. After 5 Singha{your favorite brand}it didn't get any easier.See you in Tokyo at the tournament
Hi Jerry:
I switched to Chang; elephants trump lions after all.
Actually here in Singapore I favor some of your old country home brews: Amsterdam Maximator, Baron's Extra Strong, and Damburger. For some reason that last is only available at shops in Thai Town.
Which Japan tournament? I'll miss the one in May; I'll be in Tokyo a week or two before it, then in the US the week after. The Japan Open is in the fall, though I am not sure which events I can enter as the calendar shows it starting on October 8th, and I am attending a wedding that day.
Best,
Jake
Hi Jake,
That's why the quiz was so complicated we are drinking the wrong beer!!We are coming to the one in October with quit a big delegation from Thailand:
Bruno,Peter,Glen,David and some players from Phuket.
We hope you can make it anyway. No better guide than Jake in all the obscure places in Tokyo.
Cheers,
Jerry
