As you know, backgammon (takhte-nard) is a very popular game in Iran. Unfortunately no organization or federation for support in this field exists.
Most backgammon players play friendly games at home.
We have tried for about 3 years to hold backgammon tournaments with fair competition between backgammon players.
We would like to show the sports organization that playing backgammon can improve mental health, and that backgammon is a useful intellectual activity.

Thanks Parviz,
I am glad that backgammon is growing and getting established in its motherland, which is also mine.
All this is your merit and your dedication and hard work have to be credited for it.
Hopefully, we will enjoy the attendance of some Iranian competitors on international tournaments, for example at the Cyprus Open or Georgian Open, since Iranians won´t have travel barriers such as visa problems.
Keep up the good work and all the best.
Movafagh, paydar va pirooz bashid.
