This month's myth to be potentially busted is 'Don't break the midpoint'. We all know at some point the midpoint has to go or we'd get gammoned every game but under what circumstances is it ok to let go of that point? We shall explore whether or not we should in general hang on to it longer than you may have previously thought or let it go earlier than expected. The following ten problems address this theme. I've kept all the positions this month as money positions so you need not search for the details of the score before scrolling through the problems.

Good positions! For reference, your problem #8 was problem #8 on the 2010 Othello quiz (where the match score was 5-away/5-away, not that that makes any difference).
Good artical like always!
