I came late to the game. The seventies saw a backgammon boom, and a backgammon bust. As the decade began both of my younger brothers learned to play. Bruce, the baby of the family learned enough to play an occasional game with his friends, but the compulsion wired into his older brothers to compete and dominate wasn't present in him. He was and is successful in many areas, but mastery of games wasn't part of his agenda
