Wednesday is the traditional day off from all of the main divisions. The tradition originated many years back in the glitz and glamour days of backgammon when the main focus of the Monte Carlo tournament was not only backgammon.
There is a tennis tournament, a golf event, and this free day allows a day at the beach or shopping in glorious Monaco.
Bring your gold card, because you will need it!
Two rounds of all divisions including the World Championships have been completed and play will resume Thursday at 4 pm.
Attendance for the tournament overall has been somewhat disappointing as compared to a few years back.
