Chicago backgammon player and raconteur Phil Simborg doesn't sleep much. Years ago I roomed with him in Acapulco. When the rest of the Western Hemisphere was sleeping he was awake, the "click-click-click" of his keyboard ticking away through the night. Besides playing live backgammon pretty much every day in Chicago (or Dallas or New York or Miami - Phil travels a lot) he plays on every server ever invented. You'd think this would leave him little time for correspondence. Not so! Phil records every position he doesn't understand and emails them all to his friends.
