Last month's column emphasized the importance of maintaining a dynamic vision of the backgammon board. In order to find the best plays one must be constantly looking ahead a roll, two rolls, or even more to see what is likely to happen. The best play may be a matter of common sense if you just pause momentarily and consider what you need to do to win, and how you might stop your opponent from reaching his own tactical goals.
