Last month we highlighted the play of Backgammon Giant #8 Kit Woolsey. I told him after he beat me in the Quarter-Finals of the Nevada State (15-2) that I would vote for him #1 next time, since I (Sax #7) didn't want to be voted higher than he was.
After my exciting come from behind victory against Woolsey in the first round, I had to play another "Giant (#17)" in the 2nd round of the Super Jackpot in Las Vegas. Two time World Backgammon Champion (1983, 1987), Bill Robertie would be my opponent and we have traded victories over the years so I knew it would be a good match.
