This month we will conclude our survey of the slot-or-split checker play problems that occur on the third roll of the game for a player who opened with 6-1. Earlier articles in this series considered slot/split decisions that arise after the opponent makes a home board point or brings builders off the midpoint with his response. This leaves three major groups of response plays, namely plays that split, slot, or run.
