Within three years he had become a world-class player and decided to play professionally. Matt won 2nd place in the Las Vegas Open 2008, won 1st place in the Super JP in the Las Vegas Open 2009, and has cashed in many other tournaments. He was the 'Backgammon by the Bay' player of the year in 2008.

Whenever you are faced with any checker play or cube decision, your job as a backgammon player is to figure out the best decision.
