The strongest backgammon nation in the world today, by all accounts, is Denmark. In Denmark, there is a backgammon federation, a published magazine, league play, and plenty of local events. They have fostered so many players and so much talent that many believed that a Danish team was strong enough to take on the rest of the entire world. And so, the Denmark vs. the World event was born. It was to be the single strongest event ever played, with all the matches recorded and streamed live.
