Some positions in backgammon justify more analysis than others. The types of positions I am talking about are complex positions that occur frequently. The 3/3 blitz position is one such position.
This article follows on from Part 1. You will need to have read the formula in Part 1 in order to understand Part 2 of the Ash Dalvi 3/3 Blitz Count. In the first part, I presented a formula based on the positions of checkers on the potential blitzer's side of the board. In Part 2, I look at the effects of the following changes in the basic 3/3 blitz position on the defender's side of the board.
