Still In The Hunt

I have another match with Wil that was recorded back in the nineties. The transcriber missed the beginning, so the match began with Wil leading 5-0. The first error came in the next game, with me missing a double that would have been a borderline drop, and perhaps gaining a point because I cubed the next roll, and Wil had a clear take. The next error came a few games later. So far we were playing well.
Black (Wil) leads 6-3 to 11 to play 62
I suspect Wil was hoping to maintain that rear sentinel, but breaking the 8pt and slotting two points is the wrong idea. There is some immediate contact by running 23/15, and in all likelihood, Black will reduce to a barpoint holding game anyway – the timing is such he is unlikely to be able to tarry on the 23pt – so keeping the prime is indicated.
White (Jake) on roll trailing 3-6 to 11
I missed a small double after Wil's 62, and a big double here. Wil's equity is -.961 after taking. I missed another double the next roll, and finally doubled him out the roll after that.
White (Jake) trails 4-6 to 11
