There is a common theme element to this quiz. I will save mentioning it until later. It is a surprise, so don't peek!
Meanwhile, I have been making my travel plans. I visit the USA once a year. Stopping in Tucson is mandatory, if for no other reason than to visit my mother. Besides mom, who turns 93 this summer, my US tax accountant is there, and presents me with two copies of a thick book, one to keep as a souvenir, the other to sign and send off to the IRS. Then there is my storage locker. I am not sure why I visit it, except to make sure my key still works and think about all of the memories inside the floor-to-ceiling boxes.
I mention this because some years I am able to attend the Chicago Open, and other years Pat Gibson's tournament in LA. But at the moment it doesn't look like I can fit either one in. Some of you may have been hoping to see me with your copies of The Battered Butterfly to collect my signature. I won't be at the tournaments, but if you are in Tucson in mid-May or Vegas the week after, let me know. And if you were waiting until the tournaments approach before buying your copy, no sense waiting! Go ahead and buy and read it now.
